Make the Most Out of Your Bet

If you are going to make money playing Blackjack you must be willing to take risks. This is one of the best Blackjack tips. You cannot be afraid to gamble and lose money if you are going to make money in this game. There are many different things you can do to in order to give yourself an edge when you are sitting at the tables. They are common things, but you would be surprised how many players choose not to take advantage of them.

Part of making the most out of your bet is taking advantage of opportunities. One of the options that you have when you get your first two cards is to double down. If you are going to double down you must have an 8,9,10 or 11. Most of the time you are only going to double down with a 10 or 11 but sometimes it will be worth it to double down when you are showing an 8 or 9. If a dealer is showing a bust card then you are going to want to double down whenever you have the chance to. If you have 11 then you should double down no matter what.

The reason why you would double down with an 8 or 9 is because the dealer will bust more times then not with a bust card showing. It doesn’t matter what you have, as long as the dealer busts. If you have 11 you want to double down because you are going to hit 21 more times then now when you are showing 11. Players that choose not to double down in these situations are not taking full advantage of good opportunities.

Another way to make more money from your hand is to split cards. If you have AA or 88 you are suppose to always automatically split no matter what the dealer is showing. Unless the dealer is showing a 7, 10 or Ace you always split nines. No matter what you should never split 10’s or 5’s and unless the dealer is showing a bust card you should never split 4’s.

A lot of Blackjack depends on what the dealer has in front of them. If a dealer is showing a bust card (5 or 6) then you should assume they are going to bust. If and when they bust you are going to win no matter what you have. The goal is to get as much money on the table when the dealer is showing a bust card. If you can double down then do that, if not then you never hit with anything more then 10.

Counting Cards

Another strategy that not very many players can do in Blackjack is Blackjack card counting. If you have the talent that it takes to count cards then it is possible to give yourself an edge that not very many players have. It is not illegal or against the rules to count cards. Playing Blackjack has many different strategies; you just have to put them all together.

While playing Blackjack you will have runs of hot streaks and cold streaks. The idea is to bet more when you are on a hot streak and lay off when you are on a cold streak. At the end of your session you obviously want to have won more money than you have lost. If you can get the above strategies down, you will be a much better Blackjack player. Before you know it you will be winning a lot more then you are losing.
