5. Always hit 16 or lower when the dealer shows 8-10/face. If the dealer has a face card, 10, 8 or 9 then you always hit with a 16 or lower. That is another thing that can really get you in trouble with other players at your table. Never stay with a hard 16 because you think you might bust. Only stay with that hand if the dealer shows a 7 or lower.

6. When you go to a table the minimum bet should only be around 5% of what you are bringing to your table. You should never go to a table with a $20 minimum bet and only have $40 to play with; that is blackjack suicide.

7. If the dealer is showing a bust card; always stay unless you have 11 or lower. In that case; double down.

8. Take advantage of hot streaks, and get away from cold streaks. One of the more popular strategies in blackjack is to run when you are ahead. You will have hot streaks and when you do you must bet more. When you start to get on a cold streak bet less or run away.

9. Don’t bet more then you can afford to lose. You cannot get away from the top 10 blackjack tips without hearing something about responsible gambling. Just be careful and make sure you only bet what you can afford. Always remember that there will be other days.
